Some Icelandic Horses do have problems, either genetic or otherwise, and sometimes they are best addressed when the horse is young, hopefully negating getting to this point. Sometimes breeders go into this breed for money and aren't really knowledgeable about horses, breeding, and training. I think a reputable breeder might put the horse down themselves, or place her, without charge, in an appropriate home. Please send pictures of the horse.
