Ok I have an original Mac (Model 001) 2 SE's and a classic. Besides
upgrading Ram I've had zero service done and all 3 of the older machines
work. I have 6.something on all three machines. My Rev A iMac is the same
thing. My mother has had Macs since forever and beside a Performa that all
of the sudden doesn't want to power up, (she was using it as a FAX machine
until a few months ago, and it's probably a bad power supply) she's never
had any hardware problems.
So relax and don't forget that lists like these are mostly for people that
are having problems to ask for advise on how to solve them. I'm sure there
are a lot of "lurkers" that are having no problems.
