I go back a long ways with both PC's and Macs. Way back - back to "bubble
cap" volatile memory, vacuum tubes, and everything stored on 18" reel-to-
reel tape. Back when a young engineer did his own programming (Snoopie on
the doghouse mostly) or used a "slide-rule". (Main Frames) No, Tom is
not an average user of either PC or Mac. The average PC user uses his
machine as a door stop 12 months after he gets it. He doesn't "upgrade"
it, etc.
