There's no official announcement on whether or not Panther (10.3) will
run on all legacy model G3's or not. Been various rumors, but Apple's
official "Panther" sneak preview; http://www.apple.com/macosx/panther/
has no mention of compatibility yet. Best guess is it is at least as
restrictive as Jaguar.
I've been trying for days to load it on a G3 Minitower in my shop. No luck.
It runs great on my G4 1.42 MDD though. MUCH faster than Jaguar.
you should read the Read Me PDF on the disk, kyle. :) It explains why it won't install on the Minitower.
