copy of WinGate which runs a proxy server on your PC. Connect the two
machines with a crossover cable as you have done already.  Once you've
configured both your IP addresses (192.0.0.X, eg), then you configure your
internet apps (browser, email, whatever) to use the proxy server.

Secondly, if you want to share files between the two machines, I have to
suggest PC/MacLAN.  The difference between this and DAVE is that PC/MacLAN
runs an Appleshare file and print server on the Windows machine, so it is
ideal if you have multiple macs and only one PC.
