I am trying to understand why you are so convinced that the OS could not be
the cause of the freezes ?  The Hard drive is checking out okay, the RAM has
been checked and it is fine - everything points to OS X and I have been
getting legitimate freezes - not kernel panics etc etc.

Anyway, we'll see how things go from this point forward with my Mac. Can't
wait to get the G5 in a couple of weeks !!
