I dunno. Chaz said OS X *never* freezes... ;) As a techie, I've learned never to say "never."
Something I should probably learn as well, but I stand by it. The problem turned out to be bad RAM, not the OS at all. So I was right that Mac OS X never freezes.
That's not to say it can't go wrong, but when the OS itself actually gets in trouble, the result is usually a kernel panic or the Spinning BeachBall of Infinite Delay, not a freeze.
"Freezes" occur routinely in OS 9, not OS X.

"Here is the thing you will learn from really using an OS X Macintosh, and must somehow accept on faith if that's what it takes to get you to Switch: Apple makes design decisions based on a sincere desire to make your life better." -- Glenn McDonald
