I don't know anything about setting AOL preferences so that your email will be
plain text. Let me repeat: To send plain text email, go to www.aol.com, access your
mailbox from there (click on the Mailbox icon), and send your email from there. You
can read mail, send mail, save mail, look at old mail, basically anything you can do
from the main mailbox in AOL. The only difference is from www.aol.com it's plain
text.
