IIRC this is true if the modem is not a router aswell, if it's a 
modem/router/4 port combo like the E-Tech ones we usually use here in 
the Netherlands (and which I usually install at peoples homes, wireless 
or not) than the ISP gets the first available MAC address which is the 
router, meaning you can use as much computer's as you want, and even 
move the modem/router.
