Any drive will do. I've heard that the newer faster drives with 8mb cache
may run too hot for the imacs without a fan. Don't know if this is true or
not but it seems to work fine in my DV450 for the last year.
As long as it is an ATA IDE drive it will work. I don't understand why they
say it is "PC compatible"
