Dan - you may not be aware of this - but there is a bug in the list server
when you activate "Password" and "Posters.lst" AND try to use the
"unsubscribe by subject" - which is VERY desirable.
I have reported the problem together with various log entries documenting
the results - and after some experimenting by your support people, it has
been "pushed up" to the next level for further evaluation (and the problem
has since disappeared in a black hole.)
So at this moment - your recommendation is very SOLID, but just not
functional.
PS: I had to turn on the password function, because I can't control the
number of hops - and I ran into an EXTERNALLY triggered list server loop
because mis-configured mail servers were simply routing messages BACK to the
list server, causing yet another iteration of the message without end. So
I'm caught between two chairs, if I turn Password off, I have a looping
server, if I turn Password on, I have people screaming who can't easily
unsubscribe. With a list of 12,000 - that's a lot either way.
