Sharyn,

I think Imail gets the real long timeout and instead of going to the
secondary like it should it just re-queues. I have done this myself
on a number of occasions. I don't know if this is a bug in Imail or
not but from a practical standpoint it behaves exactly like one.

SS> Would this be in the hosts file on the imail machine (as in the
SS> system32/drivers/etc folder or a hosts file in Imail somewhere

put it in hosts file like -
192.89.123.25 scanfrentz.com
192.89.123.25 scanmail.scanfrentz.com
and any other ways they might try sending (like
[EMAIL PROTECTED]) and use the ip address you are pretty
certain you can reach.

Now mind you if that secondary mail server can't reach the primary
then the mail will still not be delivered.

That should work too but my opinion is that it is probably better to
have it in your hosts file since you now have one thing to worry about
whereas if you gave the ip address to 5 people then you'd have to
worry about 5 things. Plus it is easier to communicate to the hosts
file than the 5 people. But just my opinion.
