I am having continued off and on problems with the
smtp process on my server. Recently once again the
processes were all running, no imail process had 100%
cpu usage, nothing did, no process had large
quantities of memory usage but yet when my customers
tried to send through out look express or any email
client there received a message that my smtp server
was not responding. I was unable to telnet to it, and
could not access it through any of my monitoring
programs. Upon stopping and starting the process
everything went thru fine. I have copied the log and
the only potential problem I am seeing is that there
is a domains email server connecting to mine using
smtp port 25 around the time the smtp service is give
the error, BUT I am also seeing the same server
connect hours earlier with no problems. My question
is if I post the last 10 mins or so of my log file can
someone look at it and tell me if they see a problem,
I am not seeing any large errors, or atleast from what
I can read, it appears the mail is being delievered
correctly. Again my log files are 100+ mg in size a
day as well as my spam logs are about the same size,
could this be the problem.

Thanks all for any input.

Greg
