I apologize if this question is not appropriate for this group, but I'm hoping some can help me or point me in the right direction.
I have a Windows 2000 Server running Imail V8.04. Currently I'm using a separte unix server to do DNS. I know next to nothing about unix. I'm wanting to setup an in house Windows 2000 DNS server that, I belive this is the right term, caches the DNS RBL info from, let's say for example: SpamCop, and ORDB. Please note,I am actually using more than two of the RBL sites. My logic is, instead of the Imail Server trying to ask the SpamCop and ORDB servers RBL info, it could ask the local cached server. My belief is this would help speed up the DNS RBL scanning of email on the Imail server. Has anyone done this? Has anyone seen any info on how to do something like this??
