A lot less than the $15k it would take to do it on all the machines... For one key unit, like the router, mail server or SQL, sure.
Many of our machines are for data mining - dozens of machines running the same scripts over and over.
They're redundant to each other, so if one goes down, no big shakes. But for the key machines, absolutely.
