Runa ji, I am not asking you to use it. I need to use it in my own work.
And I am in continuous contact with a number of Bengali friends and
colleagues who are also waiting for this very keymap. My request is a
technical one, stated above. This list is all about facilitating the use
of the various Indian languages in computer environments-- and this
keymap represents one such use.
I repeat my earnest appeal-- some on this list are knowledgeable about
such questions as what I have requested.
1. I am in need of the character "ৰ" with halant.
2. I need to get the characters ("Ru" "ঋ") and ("RU" "ৠ") working in the
keymap.

p.s. As a side note, with all due respect you are not correct in your
assessment. The "ৰ" has a completely legitimate use as Bengali "ba",
with precedent as well as strong scholarly interest.
