Our case is different from Mobile Operators . We have not been given any
Monopoly status like Mobile Operators have been given (Only 4 are allowed to
operate ). There are more than 157 EIS licenses and more are coming , there
is no ban on new one's .So no similarity between us and Mobile operators .
Secondly , Internet business is like other businesses , why Govt Will double
Tax us ?
Telecom Act 1996 was prepared and approved by the Govt . And it clearly says
"PTA will collect funds for its operation and will also get grants from
Federal Budget to the tune of Money / funds it requires to function . So
there is no question of collecting funds in excess cost of regulation .
By the way Telecom Act 1996 is protected by Privatization Act . Which
prohibits any amendments in the Telecom Act 1996 till the privatization and
the Monopoly period of PTCL .
Well its better to consult some lawyer who can explain the above issues
better than me .
Regards
Saad Saleem

Mr. Bhutta was given enough time to avoid this eventuality but he did not
understand. He damaged all our efforts of unity and the recent damage he has
done you were witness to that. (Our Meeting with MOST)

to MOST & PTCL/PTA. If you and Ansar do not agree please take a back seat
and we will then take care of ISPAK affairs.
