Hans,

Sorry to take up your time, but I wanted to be sure you saw this.

My card is a PVR-150 actually, and I would love to tell you what chipset I
have to help you out via troubleshooting / testing, but I am not sure how to
find out the chipset without taking off the heatsink, which I don't want to
do if I don't have to.

What can I do to help you out in this case, and possibly figure out a way to
solve my problem at the same time?

Oh, and here's the output of that log-status that you asked for:

Please provide the output of ivtvctl --log-status while recording a
program. It should give me some info on the sound.

By the way: can you verify that your card has a saa7114 chip instead of
a saa7115? I noticed this in your log. It's probably quite an old
PVR350, right? If you do have a saa7114, then I'd like to ask you some
tests. Note that this is unrelated to your sound problem, it's just an
issue with the saa7114 that I'd like to clear up.

Thanks,

        Hans
