Try doing a control + alt + delete, and arrow to lock.
I also had to do that when leaving the keyboard. When you come back
just hit any key and you will have the password log in.

Thanks David for your response. The only problem with that is that
it does lock the keyboard but one can still access the computer with the mouse.
The WindowsKey+l actually locks you out and you need to use the
regular login process to get back in.
I probably need to live with the problem but wondered whether any
one else had the problem and whether there is a fix rather than a work a round.

Hello Tom;
give the following a try;
insert+spacebar,
now press the letter "l"=lock
it's a toggle so perform the same steps to unlock the keyboard.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] when locking my computer
At work we are requested to lock our computers when not at the keyboard.
The key stroke I use is windowsKey+l.
I am running jaws 13 latest build and xp service pack 3.
When I envoke the WindowsKey+l it is not only locking my computer but it is
also freezing my keyboard. It looks like as though jaws loses the keymap
files so the keyboard does nothing and I have to do a hard reboot. It is
intermittent and I haven't identify anything that would cause it to do so.
Has anyone else experienced this and have you found a resolution?
Thanks
Tom Bisset
