Hi Rick,

Though your suggestion is true in the event one still has authorizations
remaining, my solution was based on the probability that the person used up
all authorization keys. Here is more info regarding my suggestion as well as
the link where online product activation help can be found:

Error 106

You may have used all of your available activation keys. To request that
Freedom Scientific reset the number of activation keys you have available,
complete and submit the Request for Product Activation Reset Form. Please
allow up to one business day for the reset to occur.

Hi Joseph,
This is not necessarily true.
You can request a reset of your activations for Jaws by visiting:

Tomorrow's another day, another way!

You are given a set amount of authorization keys, and if you use all 3? of
them within 3 months or 3 years, you will eventually have to call FS and
have them reset your installation keys.

Unfortunately, the process goes as follows... You will first have to call FS
tech support and explain the problem to them: fs Tech Support (727) 803 8600
for jaws press 2.
They will then ask you to call or they will transfer you to a second number
which will help you authorize Jaws. the number is: (727) 803 8015.

You could also try entering your 20-digit registration key character by
character if it is not automatically presented to you.

By stating "disconnect my power supply" do you mean you unplugged the
desktop from the wall, or do you mean you had to disconnect the power supply
unit it from your motherboard? If you disconnected from the wall then no
problem. If you meant you disconnected it from your motherboard then this is
a problem as each time you internally disconnect and reconnect your power
supply, this may eat up your jaws licenses. This is a real headache as I had
to go through this authorization key mess with Tech support and FS customer
service--this-is-not-pleasant.

It is time to insure you have a backup of all your important files, so
please backup as it might turn out to be a bad hard drive preventing your
computer from powering up.

I'm running Jaws 11 on Windows XP, and haven't had a problem with it, until
now. I had to disconnect my power supply this evening and when it was
reconnected it wanted to be authorized. I followed the steps (tried every
method more then once) and get a message about not having a licence. To put
it mildly this is idiotic, I have a licence and key, it was running six
hours ago as it had been for over a year. Anyone know what I can do? All
the information Jaws is looking for Must already be on my hard drive!
Because waiting until Monday to deal with Freedom Scientific is not a happy
thought, ... having to restart the machine every forty minutes complicates
life no end. Not to mention my power supply issue has not been resolved yet
and every restart is a breath holding event.

Thanks for any advice,
Sincerely,
Joy
