I made a mistake in my original message, sorry to say.
I meant that when I pressed the numpad five by itself twice quickly the 
letter wasn't spoken phonetically.
Now it does since I unchecked that enhanced edit support.
This only happened in Outlook Express.

That's interesting I just did a test in this email and using the keys you
said..jaws key and the numpad 5 and it spelled the word it was on..default
and also did it phonetically.
I looked in my configurations manager and the item is checked so must be a
flukey thing on your end..
