Hailley, If that enhanced editing support is checked, uncheck it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "one foxy lady" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, September 25, 2006 6:38 PM Subject: Re: [jaws-users] A small problem with JAWS and Outlook Express
well no harm..but I still have mine checked and I can get jaws to still tell me the phonetic info by pressing the 5 a few times, but it's not something I often use or bother with..least as long as it spells and I'm able to move character by character should I have trouble hearing the exact word/letters.. It's been a learning experience for me too and should I need to do your method I am better equipped by you figuring it out for us smiles Hailley ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maria Campbell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, September 25, 2006 5:16 PM Subject: Re: [jaws-users] A small problem with JAWS and Outlook Express >I made a mistake in my original message, sorry to say. > I meant that when I pressed the numpad five by itself twice quickly the > letter wasn't spoken phonetically. > Now it does since I unchecked that enhanced edit support. > This only happened in Outlook Express. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "one foxy lady" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Monday, September 25, 2006 1:52 PM > Subject: Re: [jaws-users] A small problem with JAWS and Outlook Express > > > That's interesting I just did a test in this email and using the keys you > said..jaws key and the numpad 5 and it spelled the word it was on..default > and also did it phonetically. > I looked in my configurations manager and the item is checked so must be a > flukey thing on your end.. > > Hailley > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Maria Campbell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Monday, September 25, 2006 12:30 PM > Subject: Re: [jaws-users] A small problem with JAWS and Outlook Express > > >>I went to the configuration manager for Outlook Express, and under text >> processing discovered that enhanced editing support was checked.
