hmm, havent' heard of MOST but a quick look see says it's on fiber optics
and media based. Cool, will have to look at it more for the fun of it and
sometimes this stuff bleeds into usefulness in other areas.

Automakers are not too keen on letting too much get changed by the end user.
Safety is probably the biggest issue now that so much on the ECU's are directly
controlling the things that effect vehicle movement.

FYI, I found a couple of links which state that I-Drive is not VxWorks/Linux
based
so there's the RTOS and Linux both tied into one for, IMO, a far far better
platform for what I-Drive does. Oh, and new 700 series are finally getting
the VxWorks/Linux platform update. While Microsoft moved to Ford for a
marketing platform. They made me turn my head when I heard the ad for
Microsoft Sync in the Ford which then instead of saying it had a "sun roof",
they called it having a "vista view". Marketing, amazingly full of so many
mind games.
