yikes! This is the kind of stuff I'd heard about. I'd heard of one guy
was also locked in his car but his trunk would automatically open.
It sounded like a mess and though not all was blamed on the OS,
it was also known as being partly to blame for many problems.
Hence the public statements of moving to some other OS.

There is a military project called Striker, or the Soldier or the Future,
or something like that where they too were doing wth Windows on
embedded devices and having tons of problems. They switched to
Linux and because of lost time had to trim down features but they
eventually starting getting stuff working stable enough to have something
to enhance.

I'd pick an OS built but thousands of distributed geeks who just want
to make it better than pick and OS from a company who pays people
to use their product and who's marketing department is the design
department.
