There are those "premium shops" that won't touch other
peoples messes

and there are those that will solve peoples problems and charge the
premium for it

we're an end user of a KSU anyway that we bought off the 'net and
installed ourselves.

the only reason i got involved in this pissing match in the first place is
because I thought it was really interesting how little CUSTOMER SERVICE
many in the lemonade crowd were indicating that they were offering.

this "high-ground" attitude -- a "rub their nose in their mess" just
doesn't impress

i already know that when my KXTD1232 dies I will not replace it with
another Panasonic -- they are just too "closed system" for our needs, and
are just too "old school" mentality when it comes to new features

I'll end up with an Altigen or something else that supports IP

or I'll buy something that is linux based

i pay consultants and "certified" engineers all the time for their advice
-- and in this market, they are easy to find

hell, even CISCO will sell you a maintenance contract on ANY of their
hardware in ANY condition, regardless of who you bought it from

but then again, they know what customer service means
