Modern wine glasses are often far bigger than the ones my parents used, let alone the ones I inherited from previous generations. Some of those are only an ounce or two. The tiniest ones are liqueur glasses, but probably 3-4 would be reasonable. However, you could start with 2 or 3 ounces and then taste. The huge glasses currently fashionable would likely be more than she meant. She doesn't have a table of equivalents anywhere, does she?
