For example:
-gtk on embedded devices can render directly to the framebuffer.
-trolltech advertises hardware accelerations on their website, but I don't know
if this available for free.
-afaik carbon uses some opengl hw acceleration
-And all widgetsets use some hand tuned graphic libs using vector libs or sse
instructions.
