I've been struggling with this myself. What is the correct way to write
an address in England? For instance, in one of my files I have..
Stanhope, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, UK
How would this be written correctly?

Thank you for any help,

Joyce,

England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales are countries, The United Kingdom is
the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, that is, a
Kingdom
not a country, and Great Britain is only a land mass comprising England
Scotland and Wales, as is the British Isles which includes England,
Scotland, Ireland, Wales and the Isle of Man (which is a crown dependancy
btw and not part of the UK).

If *you* wish to Americanize us then do so, and continue to enter your
British locations incorrectly, but I would be grateful if you would not
encourage others so to do. Meanwhile we will continue to enter them
correctly.
