I've been struggling with this myself. What is the correct way to write an address in England? For instance, in one of my files I have.. Stanhope, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, UK How would this be written correctly?
Thank you for any help, Sally Miller Hindley In a message dated 1/17/2010 12:42:20 PM Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Joyce, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales are countries, The United Kingdom is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, that is, a Kingdom not a country, and Great Britain is only a land mass comprising England Scotland and Wales, as is the British Isles which includes England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and the Isle of Man (which is a crown dependancy btw and not part of the UK). If *you* wish to Americanize us then do so, and continue to enter your British locations incorrectly, but I would be grateful if you would not encourage others so to do. Meanwhile we will continue to enter them correctly.
