The Conquistadors were soldiers. Not all of the Spaniards who came to
America in search of gold and riches were soldiers. Many of the
expeditions into America by Spaniards were lead by men who were not
Conquistadors. Many native peoples died as a result of not being
immune to disease they contracted from the Spaniards of which the
Soaniards were immune to. Thus many of the native people who died were
not intentionally killed by Spaniards.
