Looks like your leafnode daemon is not being invoked by inetd - (Or
tcpd)
Check out your entry for leafnode in inetd.conf and see if the path
specified to be the binary is correct. Also check if your hosts.allow
ad hosts.deny entries are correct (if you're using tcpwrappers)

That is correct. Or you can force it to fetch the grouplist (I think
