If and only if you're using your Linux box purely as a router you
don't want the extra overhead of storing frag'ged packets and
assembling them -- the end system is going to do that anyway.  The
option isn't much use in other situations.

BTW, seriously OT, but this question has plagued me for a long time:
how exactly do you pronounce your name?  Can you put up a .au
somewhere?  No offence meant, but it's not a common name AFAIK.
