Have you ever seen such a system used in production, Dheeraj?

The apps that Mr.Goel deployed, or that I have deployed in the past, are linux (or back then, SCO / novell netware etc) console apps that don't give the user a bash / csh prompt or even a c:\>, but where his shell is set to immediately spawn a program on login (the application that he is supposed to operate).

I assure you that completely non techie people (accountants for example) are pretty good at using it. All they need to do is to type in the data and move the down arrow keys / hit enter.

That's completely besides the complexity of running multiple queries on 65 gb of data - something that is cpu intensive enough without loading the systems down with the additional load of a webserver and php.

They may kill the system while doing some R & D !!!!!!!!! Think from the
