Have you checked yet whether this modem is an HSP modem (Winmodem)? If you
check (my eariler message, and those of others, told you how), and verify
that it is NOT an HSP modem, then I'll be happy to spend the time outlining
a series of tests and strategies that you can follow to get the modem
working. But until you take that first step, I don't have a way to know if
the modem can be made to work with Linux at all ... and writing the outline
I refer to is simply too much work for me to do until you've done that check
(which others have suggested as well as I).
