No. We are talking about three different problems. The patch for Eero fixes the problem of the drive reporting too many blocks. There's another problem in the vanilla kernel with initializing the drive, and your problem seems to be different still. > Have you received my detailed dmesg output? I saw it, but it begins too late -- well after the drive was first plugged in. You may have to capture the debugging output using syslogd instead of dmesg. It also indicated that Linux thought the drive was a CD, not a hard disk.
