No such file, after the Freecom hotplug has failed
lsmod showed no usb-storage module.

It does look like the ehci_hcd needs fixing, as with Eeero's kernel.

In my kernel it works if I do rmmod ehci_hcd after booting. It does not work, if I remove ehci_hcd support from kernel. Very intresting stuff.

Mike: try to remove ehci_hcd using rmmod and replug drive.

Since mm1 kernel is "broken", it freezes and so it is non usable on my desktop, can't even start firefox ;)

but there are 2.6.9rc4mm1 patch broken to pieces:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/akpm/patches/2.6/2.6.9-rc4/2.6.9-rc4-mm1/

I tried to patch usb fixes to my kernel from http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/akpm/patches/2.6/2.6.9-rc4/2.6.9-rc4-mm1/broken-out/bk-usb.patch
but it does now work need some more patches applied from that tree. Trying to figure out what patches...

Can some one help more? :) Just need to apply usb patches from mm1 because I think than then my drive works fine. With ehci_hcd unloaded performance drops a lot.
