To a certain extent I agree with the above, BUT, I think manned missions
are still very important because robotics cannot do certain things that
humans can do.
Now, at first, I think robotics is the way to go to initially clear the
way for human space exploration. Obviously, humans are not expendable,
so robotics can clear the way for human space exploration to be somewhat
less risky.
My idea is that robots can do the "dirty work" of space exploration,
while humans follow to gain human knowledge.
I hope the above makes sense.
