Certainly. that drove me nuts until I learned why Anno was doing
that. The absurd becomes more palatable when it is simply allegorical. :)
I really like the fact that they didn't, personally. It's bad plot
structure, true, but it's also reminiscent of real life -- there
are mysteries out there, and sometimes their mere existence is what
motivates us, not their resolution.

Yeah, I guess that's so. I really, really, *really* hope no one's
