I wouldn't exactly call it kiddie porn, but some of the characters and their relationships with each other are verging on "you let these people work in sensitive military projects???? Would you like to commit seppuku now, or later when our misgivings are proven right?"
Certainly. that drove me nuts until I learned why Anno was doing that. The absurd becomes more palatable when it is simply allegorical. :)
Hmmm. I was aware of Anno being in that state of mind, but my thing is...the story was so good up to that point. or maybe that is the point...either which way, I like a lot of Evangelion, just not the way the ending seems to have been scrimped on.
Personally, I think that's a "get out of jail" card for the SEED franchise - if ever they want to make something on that angle, it's there. Otherwise, it's just an intriguing detail.
Yeah, I guess that's so. I really, really, *really* hope no one's running with that, though. Let SEED rest in pieces.

Well, I actually liked SEED (for some reason, I do like Wing and Seed even if the plots are woofy). I'd like to see a third one, but yeah, if it sucks (by my standards)...I'd rather not.
