It's only been the one video so far, afaik, endlessly repeated over and over again by the news networks.  The problem with causing people to conventionally think about the idea the video might be 200 years old is the fact that that would mean that CB's actions were plotted waaaaay back when the video was made.  I actually suggested that in my first episode 3 post, but I suspect that it's not a position that people would quickly come to.  Presumeably CB had the technology to clean up the video and improve the quality to 2307 standards if it really is a 200 year old video.

Regarding the success of CB's campaign...

While I don't know how the next episode plays out, the one-line preview comment up at AEUG.net suggests to me that in episode 4, the world is actually about to get a little less peaceful.  What we're seeing could be the same basic plot development idea that we saw in Gundam Wing.  Get the story going, and early on show that Operation Meteor seems to be working.  Then in episode 5, everything promptly falls apart when Heero is tricked into killing the Alliance leadership members who want to negotiate with the colonies.

Oops...

I'm guessing at a similar start-up cycle here.  Episode 1 introduced the Gundams.  Episode 2 introduced the state of the Earth, and showed CB's philosophy in action.  Episode 3 is where we see some initial good news with the cease-fire, and finally see the start of the response by two of the three primary Earth nations (the lack of attention on the AEU has me curious...).  Episode 4 is where the idealistic plans start to not work as expected.

But that's just a guess on my part.

For the time being, I'm still in a "wait and see" mode with this new series.

It's very strange that no one at, say JNN,
question the credibility of these videos.

IMHO Ep. 3 is a disappointment, it continues or amplifies everything
that's suspicious from ep.1-2 and add nothing hinting light at the end
of the (plot) tunnel. Is IRA's ceasefire supposed to be credited to
CB? Is bloodless carpet bombing of opium fields supposed to win the
drug war? What's really disturbing is that CB's shock & awe is
starting to win hearts and minds. That's fine for hot-blood anime or
Hollywood, but I expect something deeper for Gundam and/or FMA
director.
