Because the introduction of the Thrones essentially makes the inner workings of CB important. And we're 17 episodes into a 50 episode series, and the only thing we know is an effectively useless muttered comment by a guy right before he gets blasted by a Gundam's cannon.
The reason I brought up the Tokyo arc in Rah'Xephon was because even though the big reveal happened during that arc, most of the episodes prior to that had dropped hints about it and foreshadowed it (even episode 1, imo). The hints weren't necessarily much in all cases, but they were there. In the case of Gundam 00, we've been told that CB's goal may not be exactly what CB claims is the goal. But we've been told nothing else. There hasn't been anything resembling a hint - just a quick comment by the Professor right before he gets killed. Or in other words, the pacing appears to be completely screwed up. We don't have to know exactly what the real goal of CB is at this point. But if the 'real goal of CB' is an important secret plot element, then the writers should be sprinkling hints here and there throughout the various episodes for viewers to speculate on and not just saying, "Oh, by the way, CB's goal isn't necessarily to eradicate warfare." They need to be providing hints as to what that ultimate goal really is. junior Subject : Re: [RE][gundam] Gundam 00 Episode 17 *spoilers* Date : Tue, 05 Feb 2008 23:16:45 +0000 >From : [EMAIL PROTECTED] To : [email protected] I don't know why you think that is bad - if we do know everything, then I think the plot of the second half wouldn't be there - the "inner" working of CB is supposed to be the main "topic" of the series, and they might end up being the "ultimate villian", so I think it makes for the viewer NOT to know about everything in CB. Most of your typical Super robot/sci-fi type show always show this stuff near the end.
