At the risk of repeating myself, last year this time I bought two - four pack chargers from Electricross. I believe with the recent changes in their product line they may not carry them any longer, but worth a call to find out if they have them or find out an alternative supplier. Out of 8 units one failed. These are similar to the Soneil in function. I have mine located on the bike under the seat where the ICE battery and coils were. They are wired through two 6 pole double throw switches, I know overkill, but they can be taken out of the circuit totally this way.
My results besides the one failure, these 6 amp chargers have kept the batteries up too snuff. I would not even consider trying to rig something to charge the batteries in parallel. The Paktrakr reports battery voltages within .2 volts of each other. I am using Universal AGMs. I rate the AGMs Okey-dokie, though the prices have nearly doubled in one year (lead prices). Personally I'd go with non-metered smaller footprint chargers and invest in Paktrakr or some other individual battery monitoring system. The Paktrakr was what tipped me off the one charger had failed, because visually and initially the charger seemed to be working.
