wouldn't be simpler to keep the high amp series connections in place and put
disconnects on the low amp parallel connections?

you don't break the series connection to use a bank of chargers do you?

Here's a review I posted:

Charger Review

I would really like to hook the batteries up in parallel so I can use just one
12v charger, but that would require breaking the series connections with some
very large connectors. I'm trying to think of a way to do it with a connector I
can fabricate.

Here's the idea. It's been done with good results on smaller projects.

going to pick up 6 Vector 1087CBDs today and see how they work. On the plus
side, they are easy to try out temporarily, and can easily be sold if they
don't work out. After I use them a while than I'll disassemble and cut down on
the size a lot to mount on my bike.

I'm even considering using 16 of them for the Honda Civic I'm working on if
they work ok on the bike.

I have a Vectra, and if you disassemble it, you can make it MUCH
smaller. Its a smart charger too. I got the 2/10/15A 12V charger. Just
one to top my batteries off. They're about 40-50 bucks each, but they
smart charge and trickle... very nice little chargers.

The 2/6/10 should work well too. The bulk of the charger is really all
in the little orange part... the rest is wires, or the display.
