I know Baltimore…Towson is no Baltimore! That written, in my several visits to Baltimore I’ve enjoyed going from restaurant to restaurant ordering a single dish – appetizer or entrée and moving to another for dessert. Never fails I eat way too much but what a pleasure!!!! Doing the restaurants along Albermarle or South High with my Galley Wench was fun. But then again, I’m former military, 6’2” and carry so I rarely get bothered – be it Rio, San Juan, or Baltimore. No different in DC (you should spend a night at SouthEast Hospital in DC for a true revelation of the bounds of human suffering) but there is really so much more to see – the museums and monuments are a must and, surprisingly, it’s usually only the tourists that see them all. People living there - surprising fact or urban legend…don’t know – always say they have time….but never go unless they are escorting a tourist. I lived there off and on for 11 years and was one of those who played escort before seeing some of the finer points DC had to offer. Regardless of preference, Annapolis is really the place to stop for so many reasons and all of the places to see are within a few hours (max) drive. Cheaper even are places along the West River or further south on the Chessie…again, it’s just a matter of driving. Get the best price for parking the boat and rent a car. You’ll want to spend some time there so dockage fees are an issue. CT 30°24'43.07"N 88°34'1.90"W
