Rosalie, how long has it been since you lived IN Baltmore.. http://www.baltimorehealth.org/schoolhealth.html this is one site..
I will guess its been a long time since you have no clue that ALL city schools have nurses and have had for the past ten yrs at least.. not to mention there are also 15 school based health dept full service centers.. it is a legal liablity for a teacher or adminstrative personal to administer medications.. nurses not only adminiters routine meds, but prns as well as send sick kids home, first aid and a lot more. The crime rate is something you can check.. as I said.. we are #3 in the nation for murders and violent crime.. that is worse than DC.. Since you claim to know so much about Baltimore.. you must know where the interesection of Pratt Street and Pulaski Street (not highway) is.. its 4 blocks south of Bon Secours Hosptial.. in "the 'hood".. My bldg was a half block south of that interesetion.. 3 blocks east of westside shopping center.. tell me how many of the stores in your local shopping center shutter thier windows with rolloden hurricane roll down shutters? How often does your local tv talk about finding bodies in the road, trail or drivebys.. we do _every_ night on tv news.. Baltimore is by murder rate #3.. in most dangerous #12 and DC is #21.. DC is not what it once was.. I would not walk around East DC at night for sure.. but downtown and the memorials.. not only would I .. I have repeatedly sometimes at 1 and 2am to photograph the FDR, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln, the Wall and more.. With regards to the electric bills..I azAZZAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZAAZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAzzZZZZZZZZz I have to disagree that voilence toward teachers is a nationwide trend.. I have grandchildren in school first in Norfolk and now in NC.. and Florida.. not one of those schools would have tolerated the things I Have seen in some of the schools here. here is the video of the student beating the art teacher that just go let go by the judge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyAhbbjaZ34&feature=PlayList&p=13DCD323586FB128&playnext=1&index=25 On Thu, Feb 5, 2009 at 4:47 PM, Rosalie <gmbeas...@mindspring.com> wrote: > Baltimore is a blue collar city.
