But that will quickly spiral out-of-control, as it would with
yum-utils and the like (before we even get into distro-specific
stuff).

LPIC-1 can't be a microcosm of "useful" features.  It has to test
foundational, common and daily knowledge, understanding and
application of a junior sysadmin.

Even for LPIC-2, there are more important features to test than
package management details.
