One lab does have Linux at the I.T Faculty, but its not so popular with students primarily due to their lack of exposure to OSS, this besides the usual hiccups at MUK like the "Student to Computer" ratio checking the B.I.T( http://cit.ac.ug/cit/curricullum.php?program=1) or Computer Science Curriculum (http://cit.ac.ug/cit/curricullum.php?program=4 ) will show what i mean, Clearly a tree is shaped while still young, a fact lost to many.. one way round this could be getting the Linux Gurus in town trumpeting their need for Linux Knowledgeable employees, which would be impetus for the inclusion of Open source Course Modules in the degree Programs
