One point to make clear is that this isnt a case of PC to Mac incompatibility this sort of thing is always a question of whether you both have compatible applications that can read and write the same document format. From your clients comment it looks like he uses Microsoft Word this is probably correct, but youd better confirm this first! One way of getting some idea is to look at the extension on the end of the filename if its .doc that would indicate that its a Microsoft Word file. You should also check which version he uses there are some minor differences in the file format between some of the versions.
If it is Word, then you need to get software for your Mac that is compatible with Word format documents. MS Word v.X is the obvious one, and guarantees pretty much full compatibility between Mac and PC. Others that come to mind are Nisus Writer and, I believe icWord, although Im not sure that the latter package enables you to actually edit the document. Obviously you will need to send the document back in the same format that you get it so that your client can read it when the receive it! -- Nick Collingridge - Zapp Computer Consultancy From: heather <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: "Mac UK" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Fri, 9 Jan 2004 13:53:35 +0000 To: "Mac UK" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: PC to Mac to PC I have a client who sends me their work as a template with graphics which I have to fill in with text, and then send back.
