Not sure what you mean Ed, if AT&T is not allowed to have phone lines why would 
they maintain the infrastructure?  Yes, if a limb takes down a pole both the 
phone and cable go out but if there are no longer landlines through AT&T (and 
any other Bell or independent phone company)  what is their reward for keeping 
all this maintained?   Maybe you meant something else.  

I am interested in how this is going to hurt AT&T's bottom line, and will the 
institutions (62.2% of their stock held by institutions) begin to dump and we 
all know what that can mean to a company i.e., Apple when the herd mentality 
work in unison.  

For we users I guess we have to understand we will all be going to TWC for 
phone and TV and internet.  We will have to get used to the horrors of dealing 
with TWC and we'll need to consider if we really want to go U-verse if in a few 
short years it won't be around.
