Bill, I got uverse several months ago. I do not get cable from them, just internet and phone. The “modem” was provided by them for $100 but they promised a $100 gift card after a month’s service. They didn’t send the gift card unasked, my wife had to badger them for it.
Two or three times the internet has goine out and I have had to reboot the modem. When you do that, you lose phone service till it finishes booting. My only complaint is the upload speed is still as slow with Uverse as with Bellsouth DSL. Also they won’t combine our AT&T cell phone bill with the AT&T Uverse bill. Seems like a no brainer but who am I? Good luck.
