access to when fixes will be deployed, whether they've been nailed
down, anything of that sort. For an advisor to tell you more detail
than that is likely them simply trying to appease you.

There must be some combination of settings that is causing this for
those of you who experience it more than others. I did some testing
this morning, and could not replicate the problem while using the
iPhone without headphones. I made numerous outgoing calls,
disconnected the call myself first, disconnected it first from the
other phone, tried to disconnect simultaneously, all with no loss of
sound. I thought that maybe since speaker routing was possibly a
factor, I did the same while on speaker phone. Still no loss of
sound. I tried the same scenarios on an a number of incoming calls
and still did not lose sound. Again, since audio routing may be a
factor, I enabled the "Auto-Detect Speaker In Call" feature under
Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Audio. I still did not lose
sound after ending the call in all the ways mentioned above. I did
not try again with headphones on, but I was attempting to replicate
the issue as others have explained it. I just must be bloody lucky
right now as I'm not experiencing this problem and I certainly would
find it frustrating, maybe even exasperating if I did have it happen
as often as others have reported. I guess I'll just hope that the
big boys at Apple figure it out soon so that this can be eliminated.
